A machine watching is reliable and more private

Methodically watching a camera feed used to require a person all day & night, which was tedious, expensive, and not very private. AI can glance 240 times a day (well over 7,000 times a month), make a judgment each time, and alert you when something needs attention.

7,000+
scheduled AI checks per camera, every month, day and night — plus extra motion-activated checks.

levels of AI check cameras. If one misses your mom on the floor, the other might see her. There’s never a guarantee, but more is better.

effort by your loved one, no devices to charge, no new routines to learn.

Thousands of glances, filtered down to what matters

Over the course of an hour, every camera view is analyzed many times by AI companies you’ve probably heard of. The cost adds up, but it’s worth it since different AIs see different things.

If an AI thinks someone might be on the floor, then we send an alert to you. Alerts arrive via email, so they can reach the right person — an adult child across town, a caregiver, a good friend. (Text messages are also planned.)

Is it worth it?

As a daily cost, it’s about the same as whipped cream on your mocha.

It is a wellness service, not a medical device — one of several layers you can use to make sure your loved one is okay. Other layers include things like an Apple Watch, fall-detection pendant or bracelet, etc. And, of course, the old fashioned human touch… visiting, calling, and texting your loved one.

Billing details: Billing is done through Ring — you never give us a card number. Add or remove camera monitoring in the Ring app any time, and your monthly total adjusts. A paid Ring subscription (for Ring itself) is required for you to connect to apps like ours. IsMomOnTheFloor is in pre-release beta — beta users pay nothing while we refine the system.
